We are extremely sad that Rita has passed away. The Jacob family are part of our family and although we are separated by distance we are very close. We extend our condolences to all of you. Keep strong all of you.
I have known Rita since I was a child. I got to know her well when she and Sollo welcomed me into their home in Australia in 1981-2. There is no question, Rita had a strong character. In my recollection she kept an orderly home, always clean and tidy and she set high standards for herself. She expected, quite rightly, good behaviour from others. Rita was devoted to Sollo, also to her daughters and their families. She made loyal friendships wherever she lived and most of these bonds were for life. She was incredibly charismatic. Rita had tremendous skill and stamina for playing games including backgammon and bridge. There was a strong competitive side to her nature and she was also a very resolute person. May she rest in peace.

I am so very sad to hear of the passing of Rita. I have so many wonderful memories of her from my teenage years in Australia and then later every few summers at Carrum.
She will be missed by so many but know she will be looking after everyone from where she is.
