Rigolette's obituary

Rigolette Perez Baraquio, age 81, passed away in her home in Manlocboc, Pangasinan, Philippines on August 14, 2021. She is survived by her husband, Claudio Baraquio, and her children: Cecilia, Jerome, Lucy, John, Therese, Bernadette, Rose, Angela, and Gloria.

Rigolette was born and raised in Manila. She and Claudio had their first 3 children in Manila, and then raised all 10 children on the island of Oahu, Hawaii.  Rigolette was a devout Catholic and educator, always a volunteer, lector, flower arranger, and fundraiser for her church parishes.  Her children were the church choir for several churches.   She and Claudio started their own pest control business, named Able Pest Control, and then known as Able Termite Control.  Their daughter, Angela, was crowned Miss America in 2000 as the first Filipina/Asian to win the title.  Their children are known for their television show in Hawaii called "Living Local with the Baraquios", produced by Bernadette Baraquio.  Claudio and Rigolette spent over 50 years in Hawaii, and then retired in the town of Aguilar, where Claudio was born and raised.  Rigolette spent her final years with her husband by her side.
