So I have a few, but my 1st favorite is still my very favorite memory.  So Gloria invites me to the house for a small potluck. Nothing big just a few friends. So I show up with food not knowing at the time that Momma doesn't care for boys to be over with girls at the same time.  Needles to say Momma and Papa get home early, takes 1 look at me and immediately express her concerns.

Momma: KEN!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!?!?

Me: Hi Momma...uuuuuumm...so Gloria was nice enough to invite me to this potluck thing she's doing so (Momma cut me off like...REAL quick!)

Momma: No Ken you cannot be here I don't like boys and girls same time! No no no I don't like boys!

Me: (at this point I just start talking no idea what I'm about to come out of my mouth) Ok....ok Momma...no it's ok Momma I DON'T LIKE BOYS EITHER!!.....😳😳😳

Momma: ...(insert long awkward silence here)....😳😳😳....🤭🤭.....and then she finally breaks character and starts 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂!!

Momma: ok Ken dat was berry punny but you have to go now, I don't like boys.

Me: ok Momma ok just don't forget I don't like boys either okaay...ok. I'm sorry I didn't know bye Momma.

Me: (Kens private thoughts and he walks out) oh thank the LAWD that could have ended so badly!  But maaan I didn't even get too eat and my pie is still up there!! 😂🤣😂🤣

I’ll never forget mama’s graciousness, welcoming Gloria’s pagan friend to all the family parties😂😂🥰

My deepest condolences in hearing about the recent loss of your mother.  Auntie Letty was the epitome of God's gift of grace in a woman.  She always made us feel special and loved. I know she is smiling down upon us as she is one now with the Communion of Saints in heaven. May the good Lord bless you all. You are all in my prayers.
