My deepest condolences to Ricky’s family. I met Ricky and Maria during my involvement with the children’s ministry at Metro Life Church. I remember asking Maria, are you guys dating?, and she quickly said.. nooo! 😆. But a few years later, they were dating 😂., and then got married, and then God gave then a beautiful little girl. Ricky had a huge heart for the kids and the ministry. Always so kind and respectful.

Today, my heart aches for his family, but we are confident that God is in control of every situation. My prayers are for Maria and the rest of the family asking God to give each of you the peace that surpasses all understanding and that He may stretch his arms around each of us as we look to him for comfort.

I will never forget meeting Ricky for the first time. Our friend group came together during our first semester of college at FIU, and since then I can recall so many occasions, all of which included Ricky always smiling and making others laugh and smile with his one of a kind sense of humor. My heart is broken to know of his passing, but my heart is comforted in knowing that he is now with His Savior. Thank you Ricky for all the memories, you will be forever missed! Until we meet again!
