Ricky Lane Wilson passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026, in hospice care at the Hinkle House in Thomasville, North Carolina.

Ricky was born in Lexington, North Carolina, to Joann and Charlie Wilson. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, a reflection of his sense of duty and commitment.

Ricky had a passion for cars, racing, and University of North Carolina sports. He enjoyed following what he loved and spending time in those interests.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Wilson; his children, Brian and Michael Wilson; his stepchildren, Ashley Michelle Marshall and Joshua Marshall; and his granddaughters, Kenzie, Lillian, and Magnolia.

He is also survived by his brothers, Eddie (Linda) Wilson and John (Sharon) Wilson, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Joann and Charlie Wilson; his sister, Connie Whitting; and his granddaughter, Dylan Annabel.

In respect of Ricky’s wishes, there will be no formal service. An informal gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.

Ricky will be remembered with love and care by those who knew him.
