I am so sorry to hear of Ricki's passing. She was a classmate with my daughter at Whitney ISD. She was a bright ray of sunlight. Her eyes and face lit up with her beautiful smile. I have seen her, a few times, through the years since school. She always remembered me and always would inquire about myself and my family. My heart breaks for her children, sister and her entire family! ✝️ 🙏 ✝️

I got to spend time with Ricki and get to know her last year. She shared with me many times how much she loved her family. She had prayed and gotten her life right with God and was very concerned that her family also be in right relationship with Him so they could all be together in Heaven. Her heart’s desire was to be a good Mommy to her children and she was working hard to prove to herself and everyone else that she had changed, turned her life around, and wanted the absolute best for them. After she moved, we lost touch but I will always remember her beautiful smile (you were so right in your description that it could light up a room), the times we spent together worshipping our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and her determination to be what He wanted her to be. I was blessed to have crossed paths with her and my heart is sad at her passing. BUT, I know where she is today and I will see her again soon.
