Rick,
It's been a year, but it still feels like yesterday 😔 I love & miss you so, so much. I never gave thought to living life without you physically here somewhere doing your thang in life. I never fully told you just how much you inspired me over the years after my accident. I never really expressed to you just how proud of you I am for always finding a way to persevere when life thought it knocked you down. I definitely, never imagined getting a phone call telling me you had passed away. My life was truly forever changed this day last year. I often feel like I failed you. & then I'll hear you say "Money, I'm good" or "Money, I love you" I talk to you often these days. My little brother, my only brother is now my personal guardian angel 😇 You're not physically here but I can still hear you cheering me on, & pushing me to be who I was created to be. & still making sure I remember who I (Money) am/is🥰 I will always be "Money" to you 💕 Rick, man I love you💕 & I will always rep our foundation. It'll always be in Spirit & in Truth. Your nieces & nephews miss you dearly. You're their favorite Uncle although you already know that😊 Some days are a lot harder than others but I know you chillin wit Jesus & that gives me peace. Please give my children, Mom, Dad, Grandma & all our other loved ones that made it in a great big hug & kiss 💋 from me ❤️ Thank you for everything Rick, you were there for me when I was at my lowest in life & I truly thank you for allowing God to use you to help me at that time. Man I could go on & on. We've had such an adventurous life. I just miss you so much 💖 I'mma keep reppin Christ all the way to our great reunion in the sky.

I have known Rickey since he pledged the Lancer Society at Whittier College back in the 2000's. I always appreciated my time with him and how he could always make those around him laugh. I last saw him in November 2019 at one of his stand-up comedy gigs in Fountain Valley (along with a few of my other Lancer brothers). He was confident on stage and it was a joy to see him do something he loved - making others laugh!!! That is a memory of Rickey that I will remember forever!!! Miss you brother - you will live forever in Lancer!!! Hale
