With profound sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing of Rickey Briggs on October 2, 2023. Born on January 4, 1953, Rickey lived a rich and fulfilling life that was marked by an exemplary sense of love and duty towards his family and community.

Predeceased by his wife, Wendy Briggs and his father Jim Barker,  Rickey leaves behind a legacy of family and love. Rickey is survived by his beloved mother, Bonnie Barker, and his devoted children: Shana MacFarland, Jason Briggs, Kaleb Briggs, and Chance Briggs. His memory will also be cherished by his brothers Johnny Briggs, Dwayne Briggs, Bob Barker, and Chip Barker, along with his sister, Rhonda Barker-Kemp. Sisters-in-law Debbie Briggs, Sherrelle Briggs, and Karen Barker will fondly remember him.

The joy of Rickey's life, his grandchildren Joshua Gregurich, Justin Gregurich, Kortney Gregurich, Ella MacFarland, Bonnie MacFarland, Koral Briggs, Kenley Briggs, Knox Stafford, Parker Stafford, Maisy Stafford and Darlene Stafford will forever have their Papa in their hearts. Rickey will also be remembered by his son-in-law, Devon MacFarland.

Rickey's legacy continues through his large, loving family, which includes many extended kids and grandkids who fondly called him 'Dad' and 'Papa'. His love also extended to his 13 nieces and nephews, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life for Rickey will be held on October 16, 2023, at 10:00AM at the First Assembly of God Church in Marble Falls. Rickey's love for his family was as boundless as their love for him, and this gathering will be a testament to his enduring impact on all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family is gratefully accepting donations. The outpouring of support during this difficult time is greatly appreciated.

Rickey's life was an embodiment of dedication and affection, and he will be profoundly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
