Rick's obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rick Monchamp Sr. of Phoenix, Arizona. Born in Connecticut, Rick entered the Kingdom of Heaven at the age of 60. After several years of bravely battling congestive heart failure, he is now at peace and free from pain.
Rick is reunited in heaven with his parents, Leopold and Dolores Monchamp, and his brother, Kevin (Terri) Monchamp. He is lovingly survived by his significant other, Sharon Gillam Henderson; his children, Rick (Princess) Monchamp II. and Nicole (Alex) Townsend; and his cherished grandchildren, Easton, Remy, and Georgia Monchamp, and Emma Townsend. He is also survived by his siblings, Thomas (Cher) Monchamp, Charlene (Louie) Kokoszka, Stephen Monchamp, and Lee (Michelle) Monchamp, along with many nieces and nephews within the Monchamp family.
Anyone who had the privilege of meeting Rick knows he had a gift for making people laugh and bringing smiles to those around him. Though stubborn at times, he loved deeply—both his people and his pets. He had a passion for his motorcycle, enjoyed collecting a wide variety of items, and had a special love for playing the harmonica, rarely going anywhere without one tucked in his pocket. Rick was also known for being a hardworking and loyal employee wherever he went. His soul, humor, and unmistakable charisma will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Family and friends will gather privately to celebrate and honor Rick’s life.
