Rick's obituary

Ricky (Rick) Earl Minniefield was born on June 1, 1972 to Ricky Taylor and Dorothy Minniefield in Monroe, Louisiana. Rick accepted the Lord at an early age and attended Living Church Letter under the leadership of Pastor Ross Benavidez. After graduating from Garey High School in 1990, he went on to study at Butte College.

In 1993, he met the love of his life Pam Perry, and they wed on July 7, 1999, and they had three children, Caden, Rylan and Makayla.

Rick was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of Caden, Rylan, and Makayla and always tried his best to support them.

Rick worked for Butte County, and coached at Butte College and was a motivational speaker and started his own business. Rick also coached Pop Warner Football and baseball.

Rick had a big beaming smile that would radiate happiness. He had a passion for inspiring and motivating others. He coached and mentor many youths. He was also an avid sports lover and could often be found coaching football, or watching various sport games. He loved to travel and spend time with his family and friends. He loved the Los Angeles Lakers, LA Dodgers and Green Bay Packers.

Anyone who knew Rick knew that he was the most loving father, husband, son, and brother a family could ask for. Rick was predeceased in death by his grandparents, brothers Kendrick Wade, Dexter Minniefield, Tony Minniefield and step-father Levester Wade. He is survived by his wife Pam and three children Caden, Rylan and MaKyla. His mother Dorothy Wade of Pomona, CA, his father Ricky Taylor of Houston, TX. His two brothers, Kareem and his wife Mandy Wade of Medford, OR, Joseph and wife Tashiana Wade of Pomona, CA. His five sisters: April and her husband Sherman James of Upland, CA, Irene Wade of Pomona, CA, Veronica Wade of Phoenix, AZ, LaShauna Wade-Padilla and husband Albert Padilla of Pomona, CA and Bryanna Wade of Pomona, CA. And a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
