Rick's obituary
Rick Jancasz, 73, of White Pigeon, MI, peacefully passed away on February 13, 2023, after a long battle with Parkinsons' and Diabetes. [cause of death].
Rick was born on March 20, 1949, to John and June Jancasz in Portage, MI. After graduating from Portage Central High School in <insert date>, he went on to become a skilled tradesman, joining the United Auto Workers (UAW) union in <insert year>. He went on to have a fulfilling career with General Motors, until retirement in <insert date>. During his time at GM, he met his wife, Neda Jancasz in <insert year>.
His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of all of his children; Tammie Fowler (Adam), Elizabeth Lloyd, Traci Jancasz, Aurelius Jancasz, Spence Groves (Charissa), Treveor Jancasz (Staci), Travis Jancasz, Christopher Jancasz (Amanda)child name], 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Rick was also passionate about fishing and watching sports and could often be found on the water or fields when he wasn’t at home. Anyone who knew Rick knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Rick was predeceased by his parents and siblings, Sherrie Jancasz and Timothy Jancasz. He is survived by siblings John Jancasz and Nancy Mora (Brad).
Rick’s celebration of life was held at his long-time church St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Friday, February 17, 2023. He has been buried at the Mottville <insert name> cemetery.
In memorial of Rick, the family will be establishing annual fundraising to support local athletic initiatives. Current donations will support the purchase of a memorial bench to be placed at one of the fields in White Pigeon.
