We are so sorry for your loss. Rick was so lucky to have you all as his family and his memory lives on through you. We love you and are sending you so much love and peace during this difficult time. ❤️
Rick, my brother Marine, you are dearly loved and will be missed. Semper Fi
I met Rick at a point in his life that he was a proud and strong father along with being a loving husband. Previously Rick was an American hero serving 4 or 5 tours in the jungles of Vietnam (many of the tours voluntary). In his younger years he was a ripped pillar of muscles. When I met him he carried that strength into every room with how he stood, his actions, his words, and his posture. Rick greeted everyone one with excitement, respect, and engagement. All of that was so plainly clear, the times I interacted with him. When I met Rick, he was a proud father of 3 young daughters (4-8 years old) and 1 young son. I recall the pride and joy on his face when he was attended events for his children. I recall a school of rock concerts for his son, and how proud he was of Elliot's performance. I recall his attentively and partnering engagement with his wife. This was clear in every day interactions when I met him. Rick had a career in accounting and he was a master of his craft. Later in his life he would help other set up chart of accounts for their businesses, and advise on book keeping for his friends.

I am so sorry for your loss Pattie, Elliott, Chelsea, Madeline, Rachel. I am so very sorry.

Our deepest sympathies.  May you rest in God's loving arms as he carries you through this.
Our condolences to your family for your loss.

Condolences to the whole Starke family. Your father was a great man and I thank him for serving.

Love, the Rabideaux’s.

Rick and I were like 2 peas in a pod during the months we were together at Cherry Point Marine Air Station in NC. Our bunks were next to each other and we worked together during the day, went to the enlisted man’s club in the evening, and  learned to sail together in the Neuse River. He shipped out to Vietnam before I did but we caught up with each other in Danang as he was on his way back to train and come back to Vietnam. He was a hero and a dedicated Marine. We never saw each other since 1969 but I can tell from the pictures that he was a loving father and husband. What a great friend he was back in the day and I still hold him in very high regard. SEMPER FI my friend and blessings to Patti and all of their children
