We were very sorry to hear about Rick's passing.  Grizelda and I have known him since we attended USAF Fighter Lead In training in 1978 and were assigned to the same A-10 squadron at Myrtle Beach AFB.  We were re-united again in 1984-1986 when I was the 353rd Tac Fighter Squadron Commander.  Rick was an outstanding AF officer who you could depend on to accomplish any task given. He was a skilled aviator flying  the A-10.  We enjoyed many good times together when the Wards, Blacks, Dominicks, and Whites made road trips together. Rick talked me into running a 10K with him once. I was in pretty good shape, but he was in great shape and younger. My legs were never the same.  Over the years, Grizelda and I would visit with Rick when we visited Denver to see our daughter and her family. He will be missed. In the fighter pilot community when an aviator passes or as we say "gone West", we have a saying to honor him. So Rick, here's my "nickel on the grass" and know you will have blue skies and tailwinds forever.  Tim and Grizelda

Rick is missed greatly! He was always the first to greet new members to our cul-de-sac and was first to offer his help to our cul-de-sac neighbors. He was first to snowblow and harassed me whenever he "beat" me outside. He was by BFF!!

RD KUHNS

In 2012 when Rick and I were in Florida for Courtney and Tina’s funerals, we cleared out everything in Tina’s apartment in one day. We discarded/donated most of her belongings, except the many cards, notes, photos and a personal daily journal she kept for years.  Rick took those home to Colorado with him.  Family meant everything to him.

Our condolences to Richard's family. We met Rick about 4 years ago in our Life Group at Southeast Christian Church.  He is Forever Loved by Dean, Vicky, Lynn, Mary, Laurie, Carol, Chet, LaDonna, Bob, Joan, Dave, Sheila, Lee and Shirley. The photograph was at a fun dinner in January, 2024!

I knew Rick via a bible study course held here in my neighborhood. We were only acquaintances but couldn't help but notice his Love for His Lord, his history of helping others, and his interest in living a good life.

So sorry to hear of Rick's passing. We ran into each other a couple of times at Avon gatherings over the years and exchanged Christmas cards.

My best to all of you in this time of sadness.
