I was only around Richard one time, at a group gathering. I have never forgotten him because he had such a bright light. I found him to be full of life and joy, curiosity, openness, and he seemed utterly unafraid to be his unique self and to stand out. He left an impression that makes me smile, even now. My heart goes out to those who care for and love him. His presence in the world will be missed, and I don't doubt that he inspired others as he did me. Peace, bright soul.
