Richard Alan Thrasher passed away on April 13, 2020 surrounded by his children in his home in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Richard, a lifelong truck driver who traveled the road for many years, was preceded in death by his father Randall Thrasher, mother Violet Good, brothers Robert and Randall Jr., his sister Sandy, and daughter, Monica. He is survived by his sister Janet; his sons Richard II (girlfriend Brandi) of Akron, Ohio , Robert (wife Emily) of Buffalo, NY, and Lynn Curry of Akron, Ohio, his daughter Tina Curry (boyfriend Dustin) of Akron, Ohio; his grandchildren Jordan Curry, Brandon Sherman, Gabriel Thrasher, Stashia Stover (husband Matthew), Caitlyn Curry, Nevaeh Jones, Alexis Curry, Luke Thrasher, Chelsea Thrasher, Liam Thrasher, and Paige Thrasher; his great-grandson Jace Stover; and his sidekick Mr. Beans. Richard, a lifelong resident of Northeast Ohio, loved his family with all his heart and was known for sneaking the grand-kids snacks and candy (even when someone was watching). He could always be counted on for the off-the-cuff and unexpected funny moments and words. Lovingly, he was known as "Pops" by kids (big and small) from around the neighborhood.
