Richard was my neighbor.  I  saw him last Fall at our mailboxes.  Although he had a second above/below the knee amputation, he had walked over with his prostheses and a walker.  We briefly chatted.  He looked great and was happy.  I had opportunity to assist him a few years ago with transportation to some appointments, and it was great to talk with him.  His family and friends meant a lot to him.  He will be missed.  My condolences to you!

I met Richard as "Jaffee" in Second Life, long ago. He was a kind soul, full of life and laughter, great stories and jokes, and a love for music and cars which I shared. For his family and friends, I hope knowing how loved he was by so many in Second Life is a blessing that brings some comfort to your grief. He will be joyfully remembered.

Our friendship began in Second Life in 2010 and, no matter where I found myself on the grid, Richard was there (as the very talented, respected, and loved DJ, Jaffee Gaffer). He was kind, always a gentleman, and I could not have asked for a more devoted friend. I could count on him, no matter what. Through his tough times, I tried to return his support, hold his confidence, and be someone to rely on. We laughed, chatted, shared, and worked hard together... and we had fun. He made me smile. Richard, I will miss you beyond measure. To all who loved him, his family and friends, I offer my most sincere sympathies and hope that your happy memories will carry you. You will always be in my heart, "Mr. Gaffer", and never forgotten.

We spent every Friday on Second Life listening to Richard DJ as Jaffee Gaffer. He was very funny and very knowledgable.  His has been a friend of mine for many years and I will miss him greatly. My love and prayers to his  family. May your memories bring you comfort

I knew Richard as "Jaffee Gaffer"... a phenomenal DJ in the online community of Secondlife. He was the primaty DJ at my partners venue (The Willows) in Secondlife. 

A wonderful man, and I'm honored to have called him "friend". We spent the last 15+ years sharing stories and jokes about our real lives, and he would wow us with his knowledge of music, and of course, his wonderful DJ sets. His passing is a great loss to our community and we will miss him dearly.  Passing on our condolences to his friends and family.
