I met Richard or Rick at a Portland Trailblazer basketball game. He happened to have a season tickets next to mine. I don’t have a lot of stories about him just that he was always so friendly and we would shake hands when we meet each other at the games. I’ll miss the high-fives on some good plays from the players on the court 🏀. ❤️🙏😇

I always enjoyed hearing Rick’s stories about Portland or his times in Chicago.

My favorite memory of Rick was during the craziness of 2020, when he and I spontaneously shared a little whiskey over our backyard wall and shot the breeze for a couple hours. It made the world feel normal for an afternoon.

Rick made the neighborhood a nicer place to live, and we miss him.

Well, I’m a little shocked that I’m having to write this about Richard. I’ve only known him a few years with his daughter at Blazer games. As they have seats next to mine, and I’ve always had a great time interacting with them at the games. So sorry for your loss. Hopefully, he can talk to Jesus And see if our team the Blazers can win the championship this year. I think he’d like that.❤️🙏😇🏀
