I was sorry to hear of Skip’s passing. I had the great pleasure of working together with Skip for about eight years at Research for Better Schools in Philadelphia. I was recently thinking of Skip and thought I would reach out to see how he and his family were doing. My sincere condolences on his passing!   Ed Patrick

We shall remember Skip, as we knew him: a welcoming Neighbor and Friend, when we moved to Drexel Park in 2002.  He and Gretchen, extended the warm welcome through 16 years of robust, discourse, always tempered with intelligent and loving support.  One could not have wished for, a  more genuine friend and neighbor, who is—And will continue to be—sorely missed. Godspeed, Skip; continue the fight for social and politicalJustice, from above.

One of the wonderful experiences I have had is driving around New Zealand. Exploring that country with Skip, Gretchen, and Carey is one of the amazing experiences I have had. Seeing the country through his eyes was formative. The joy on his face while sailing an America’s cup yacht was worth the trip alone.
