Richard Edward Schofield was born to Richard and Jean Schofield on March 8, 1946 in Trenton, New Jersey. Richard served as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army. He earned his undergraduate degree from Lafayette University, his master’s from the University of Arizona, and his PhD from Rutgers University in 1982.
