Richard "Rick" Schmidt went home to Jesus on February 04, 2023 at age 69.

Rick was born to Ralph Schmidt & Geraldine Carey in February 1953 in Nebraska. He met and married Cecelia "Cece" Starkey and they had a daughter, Katrina "Kati". After spending most of his life in the Denver area, he moved to Florida to be closer to his grandson Cason. In addition to being a loving Grampy, Rick also loved spending time at Disney World and going on Disney Cruises. Throughout his entire life, he held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him. 

Rick joins his parents in Heaven. He is survived by his wife Cece, daughter Kati (John), grandson Cason, stepmother Bernie, half-brother Kevin (Katie, children Mason & Emerson), half-sister Lori (Chad, children Noah & Adonai) and cousin Steve (Shelley).
