Crazy, but I was just documenting my life story on Storyworth & today's prompt was "What nicknames did you have while growing up?" and the 1st one I recall being given was from a Ricky Mehlfelt who I went to school with in North Springfield. As a rough & tumble girl, Ricky was the 1st boy I roughed around with and he called me Creepaline (Caroline) and I nicknamed him Ricky Mehlfinkenfart but these names were not mean spirited but part of our awkward loving teasing banter. So after 50+ years I decided to google his name and sadly learned that he had passed. My condolences to his family and thought I'd share this sweet memory with you all! Caroline

So very sorry for the loss of Ricky to all his family and friends. I knew Ricky as a neighbor and at Annandale High School. He was a very fun nice guy!! On Facebook in the past few years I enjoyed his videos and pics of Charleston, SC. Hard to believe - way too young. One could tell he loved his family and grand babies very much!! So sorry to Mary and his brother Mike. Fly high Rick!

It is he pain of separation that Death brings to the living. It is up to the living to overshadow that pain with the remembrance of the joys of life that Richard experienced as one can see in the many heartwarming photographs. Richard will live on in his children and in his grandchildren. My condolences to Mary & the family.
