Richard's obituary

Richard Mckinney, 71, of Lake Station, IN passed away after a tough battle in the hospital from a series of strokes he had suffered passing away on December 13, 2022. He was surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Richard was proceeded in death by his Mother Alcona Groves his father Robert Mckinney and brother Bill Mckinney. He is survived by his wife Sharon Mckinney his Daughters Kymberlee Mckinney, Rachel Mckinney, Kristen Alfaro, Heather Helton. Grand children, Colten Ingram,Teagen Kalberer, Leeam Kalberer, Ian Mckinney,Jordan Lee Neito-Johnson, Vannessa Alfaro,Hannah Helton, Alison Helton, Neiko Mckinney.. Great Gransons Isaac Velasquez and Wyatt Helton, Sister Liz Mckinney- Bryant and Brother, Bob Mckinney many more loved ones nephews and neices cousins and beloved family and friends. After Richard attended Griffith High School and Graduated in 1969, he was drafted into the Army when he completed that he went on to calumet college and spent some time as a police officer In griffith Indiana... Richard was an avid artist and lover of all things Art and animals. His favorite style of art was his beautiful trees and out door scenes that he shared with his many friends on his art website and facebook. Richard participated in a local art show a couple months before his death and absolutely loved it... The family asks that donations be made to his Wife Sharon Mckinney on her go fund me account.
