Richard Gregory McAnally, age 79, passed away on December 30th, 2025.

He is survived by his children: his son Ian McAnally, his daughter Kendall McAnally, his son Keir McAnally, and his daughter Candace Henry, his daughter-in-law, Jessica Denney, and his two grand hildren, Dylan Denney McAnally, and Charlie Denney McAnally.

Richard lived a life marked by independence and perseverance. He was known to be strong-willed and steadfast, navigating life largely on his own terms. While he maintained a small circle, he carried a sense of responsibility toward his faith in Christianity.

He lived in New Caney, Texas, upon his passing.  He also lived in Houston, Texas, among other places, and had roots in Kennett, Missouri. He valued self-reliance and privacy, and those who knew him understood his complexity as well as his capacity for care.

Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Hopi Bell McAnally.

A private remembrance will be held by the family in Austin, Texas on January, 9th, 2026.   Another larger memorial will be held at Mac's church the following week.  May he rest in peace, held in memory by those who knew him.
