Richard's obituary

Richard Goodwin Lush, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2011, in Peekskill, NY. Born on September 4, 1916, in New York City, Richard lived a life rich in music, family, and a passion for fixing things.

A talented piano player and dedicated piano tuner, Richard's love for music was evident in every note he played. He was a cherished member of the Joe LaLuna band for several decades. In addition to his musical pursuits, Richard was a skilled handyman, finding immense joy in repairing and improving things around the house.

Richard also had a keen interest in photography, capturing life's beautiful moments through his lens. Whether through music or his camera, he found solace and inspiration in creating art.

Richard is survived by his devoted wife, Gertrude Lush, and their four children: Bill Lush, Janet Barry, Lorraine Lush, and Eileen Green; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

A private family gathering will be held to celebrate Richard's life and the enduring impact he had on those who knew and loved him.
