Richard's obituary
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce Richard Lee Pruitt, 36, passed away Thursday, February 8th, 2024, at Mary Washington Hospital. Born on April 3, 1987, Rich was a loving father, son, brother and friend. Rich was a cherished individual known for his love of motocross, infectious chuckle, humorous personality, and kindness. He knew absolutely no stranger and lived a life filled with tremendous passion and service towards others.
He attended Stafford Senior High and graduated in 2005. Upon graduating, he pursued his post-secondary education and graduated from UTI in Florida. Shortly thereafter, he started his first job at Ron Rosner Toyota as an automotive mechanic, kickstarting what led to an accomplishing career as a mechanic who enjoyed working on both big and small engines.
In 2004, Richard met Elizabeth Graser at Stafford Senior High. Rich and Elizabeth went on to have 3 children; Calee, Gavin and Madelyn.
Rich enjoyed spending time with his children, soccer, motocross, road trips, tinkering with cars, tractors, and going to the beach. He also loved reminiscing and telling old stories.
He is survived by his three children: Calee Graser, Gavin Graser, and Madelyn Graser, all of Stafford; mother of his children, Elizabeth Graser; father, Richard A. Pruitt of Spotsylvania; mother, Robin L. Pruitt of Stafford; and sister, Courtney L. Pruitt of Stafford.
He was pre-deceased by his brother, Robert F. Pruitt; paternal grandparents, John Sr. (Louise) Pruitt; and maternal grandparents Charles (Emogene) Lee.
