Richard "Rick" Jacobson, 72, of Richmond, VA passed away peacefully on April 10, 2024, surrounded by his family. Rick grew up with many passions including hunting, fishing, baseball, and football. As an adult, he had a long, successful career in construction. He was a devoted father and spent many weekends on the soccer fields, teaching his children the importance of hard work and drive. In his later years, he channeled that passion in to his golf game and could be found on the course multiple times a week. Above all else, he loved his wife from the day he met her at the bowling alley, 33 years ago. Sandy and Rick built an extremely close-knit family and enjoyed wonderful years at their Lake Gaston house. Rick will be dearly missed and always remembered as the best dad and husband in the world. 

Rick was predeceased by his parents, Clifford and Aurelia Jacobson. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Jacobson, his daughter Jordan (John Mark) Quick, his two sons Tanner (Sara) Jacobson and Cutter (Julia) Jacobson, his three grandchildren Margo Quick, May Gleeson and Oliver Jacobson, his siblings Kenneth (Peggy) Jacobson and Sandra (Steve) Oakley, and his beloved dog Rosie. A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor after the memorial service. We invite all of Rick’s loved ones to join us at the service on Saturday 4/20 at 1:00pm EST at Woody’s Funeral Home on Parham Rd and continue to celebrate his beautiful life at Lakeside Park Club immediately following.
