We shared the most amazing Italian dinner with Richie days before his passing. It was the most fun we had experienced in a very long time. He was cracking jokes left and right, leaving us out of breath from laughing so hard. We feel so blessed to share those final memories with him. Although we didn’t know it was going to be the last time we saw him, we hugged and kissed him like we might never see him again - the love was real that night. Richie was one of our most cherished friends. A radiantly, cosmic soul who had the most captivating stories and unbelievable life experiences. He truly lived life to the fullest and inspired so many others around him. He will be dearly missed. We love you so much Richie. I’m so happy you got to meet our baby Athena ♥️ she loved you so much. She’s a shy one, but not around you. She blossomed like a flower around you. He truly had the most gentle spirit. We love you so much Richie. Rest easy ♥️🙏🏼

Richie was a lot of things to me: Partner in crime, ski buddy, late night confidant, fellow lover of the outdoors. But most of all, Richie was a caring friend who always put others needs before his own. Whether it was to fix something at my house, or borrow/give me a piece of equipment (even though I knew he couldn’t afford it) Richie was ALWAYS there.

Though I haven’t seen him in 4 years, I have always considered Richie to be a lifelong friend. While some time has passed, I figured it was just a matter of time before we skied powder or talked shi*t at a Phish show again.

Well, it seems that the universe had different plans for us old friend. When I finally reach the great gig in the sky, I will keep an eye out for you … I know you won’t be hard to find
