It is a rare opportunity to make a new friend in one’s 50’s and Richard and I had become exactly that while we were working together! I will miss his unique “froggy” voice, witty sense of humor, and kindness the most.

With the timing of a New Yorker and the delivery of a Midwesterner, Richard could have you howling with laughter in the most unexpected of times. It was this combined gift of characteristics that leaves an echo in his absence.

My condolences to the Pam, the Green family, and to his “forever friends” for your deep loss.
Dear Pam; I am so very sorry about the devastating loss of Richard. I always loved "running into" you two (your husband always had a witty comment)! Please know that I'm thinking of you and sending you and your family all of my love, Susie Hoffman Lewis
Dear Pam, Zack, Joe and Lindsay,

You don't know me as I have been gone from Minneapolis for many years. My family was life long friends of the Green family. Michael was my contemporary and a close friend and Richard and I stayed in touch a few times through the years. My deepest condolences. I am shocked and saddened. Richard was a wonderful man. I hope you look me up if you ever visit Sydney. Best Wishes, Bill Evans
Joe and Claire, We are so sorry to hear of the loss of your father! How fortunate you are to have had such a wonderful patriarch!
We remember your Dad as a gregarious host at Camp Warren for your wedding!
This is terribly heartbreaking. Richard will always be remembered as a very funny and legendary father. I’m grateful to have known him. Thinking of all of you.
Pam and family,
So very sorry for your loss! He was always a delight. Rob has called him Sheckey Green, ever since he gave the opening remarks at Temple Israel. He had a great sense of humor. I think back to his father and uncle and how proud I’m sure they were of Richard and you. He was obviously very much in love with his bride. Thinking of you at this time of deep grief for you and your children.
Rob and Pam
