Richard's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Graydon, who peacefully passed away on July 20, 2020, surrounded by family and his wife of 44 years, Helen. Born in 1938 in Canada, Richard lived a life full of vigor, marked by his robust personality and his inquisitive, talkative nature. His love for sports, especially hockey, was shared with anyone who was willing to listen.
Richard was known for his quick wit and charming conversations. He loved to talk and share his life. He had an innate ability to connect with people. Richard also harbored a deep understanding of the importance of financial management, which he willingly shared with anyone willing to learn.
A wonderful accomplishment of Richard's life was his successful convenience stores he started with his wife, Helen, prior to retiring. He navigated the complex worlds of business and finance, laying the foundations of his thriving business from the ground up. His business was not just a testament to his exceptional ability but also an embodiment of his friendly personality and hard work.
Yet, the greatest testament to Richard's life was not his professional success, but his deep and abiding love for his wife, Helen. Despite his declining health, he always put his beloved wife's needs above his own, a testament to the depth of his devotion.
His life lessons on diligence and financial prudence, as well as his enduring love for his wife, Helen, will continue to inspire those who knew him. He will be missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts and minds of all those whose lives he touched. Besides his loving wife Helen and his children, Richard leaves behind many grandchildren that he loved dearly.
