Richard F. Smith Sr.
May 2, 1962 – February 22, 2025
Richard F. Smith Sr., affectionately known as Dicky and Smitty, passed away on February 22, 2025, in Pinellas County, Florida, surrounded by his loving family. Born on May 2, 1962, in Trenton, New Jersey, Richard was a devoted father, cherished grandfather, and a hardworking businessman who always extended a helping hand to those around him.
He was a proud and loving father to his children, Heather, Richard Jr., Cherie, and Matthew, and will be fondly remembered as "Puppup" by his beloved grandchildren, Justin (Mahe) and Carina. Richard’s kindness, generosity, and strong work ethic left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
His passing was preceded by his father, Richard, and his brother, Scott. He is survived by his mother, Margaret; his sisters, Julie and Donna; and his brother, Thomas (TJ), as well as many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him dearly.
Richard’s legacy of love, hard work, and generosity will live on in the hearts of those he touched. A burial service to honor his life will be held at Riverview Cemetery on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 10am.
