Richard "Foghorn" Dawson Sr, 69, of Kasson, MN, passed away on July 05, 2022.

  Richard was born on August 14th 1952 in Texas. Then moved to Minnesota when he was 5. He grew up in Rochester. After graduating from Mayo High School in 1971  he went into the navy.  He met his wife Suzan Stowell in 1976. They had 2 children. Richard and Peggy. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, he  had many kids that thought of him as a dad!  He loved to spend time with family and friends. Richard was also a passionate fisherman. He loved to go out to the Mississippi River and Orinoco to fish.  Anyone who knew Richard knew that he was a CB'er. He went by Foghorn. He made so many friends from the CB. Richard was predeceased by his parents Franklyn Dawson, Maryann Novotne, his step father Marvin Novotne his brother Kevin Dawson  his sister Patt his step brother Steve. He is survived by his son Richard Dawson (Sara) his daughter Peggy Grant (Randy) his sister Terri Lund (Rick) his brother Tom Dawson (Mary) his step brother Bruce Novotne (Polly) 9 grandchildren and loThere will be a celebration of life the end of September.
