I was saddened to  learn that Rick passed away. I worked with him at Sam’s Club. Although I did not know him well, I admired his work ethic and his pleasant demeanor to all. I guess a word that describes him, after reading his obituary is kind. God bless his entire family and may God rest his soul.

Dear Jan, Jessi, and family,

We are so very sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed chatting to Rick during family get-togethers - he was so interesting to talk to, and interested in what others had to say. He will be greatly missed.  Sending love and prayers to you all. With love, Anna, Danko, and Tabby x

We are so very sorry for your loss. We are truly grateful that we were able to spend time together while you were recently back home in MN. Sending love and prayers during this difficult time.

All our love,

Amy, Brandon, Tyler, Tate and Tony Billman

I'm thinking of you, Jan and Jessi and all the family at this difficult time and send you my deepest condolences.

I've already shared with you my memory of a very young Rick who we dressed as Joseph in a nativity play for the whole Magnuson family at Christmas. I can still see little Rick, rocking the crib so enthustically that Baby Jesus almost flew out! My grandparents and all the aunts and uncles tried to contain themselves, but thcouldn't help bursting into laughter!

A much later memory is of a family picnic at my sister's farm in Sandstone. It was the day that Rick first introduced his sweetheart to the rest of the family. Beautiful Jan and handsome Rick both looked so happy together and we all thought them an adorable couple.

Such a beautiful obituary. I learned a lot about Rick and he was amazing. Thoughts and prayers to the whole family.

Wayne and Sue Barton were looking for a nice couple, especially Christians, to connect with.  Sue was single until her mid forties so she didn't know many couples.  We met the Colunds during Friday night church . We joined their small group and the rest was history . We loved going to the Guthrie and out to dinner with them. I was really impressed how Rick could drive his truck through a parking ramp. You know all of those sharp turns would of made me nervous.  I thank God that he brought us together.
