We miss Dick.  He and my husband Gilbert Merrill were in trucking together for a very long time.  One of the reasons Dick moved to Casa Grande was to spend time with us.  Playing games, discussing the world and eating out created a ton of memories.  Dick was a wonderful man..

My friend, I raise a glass in honor of you. I know we shall see you at the gates of heaven when my work here is done.

Because of health issues I  can only be there in spirit.

Until we meet again my friend.

Such a kind and giving man.  Huge supporter of Patriot Guard Riders when we were so very busy!  I smile when I think of Dick and will continue to do that.  Just a very good man!

What extremely sad news that we’ve lost this very special man and friend that everyone just called Dick. Over my 27 years on the air at KNIX Mr. Collis stood out as a special human that cared so much about real people and friendships. His love for people in the military and his support of my Police Toy Drive told me and so many officers Dick had their back especially when it came to supporting children. Dick always went out of his way to make sure that special gifts were there! His legacy of caring  will open the gates of heaven and we will meet again!    Thank you Dick for your friendship and the times you made a big difference! Rest in peace and thank you for making life special to an awful lot of people!  SALUTE!!       W. Dick was a dear friend and even visited in Menominee, MI with Mary Kay.  We lived in Phoenix for 4 years and became great friends.
We were headed fishing with Mary Kay & Dick headed to Lake Mary.  On way, Dick got a flat on boat trailer.  We stopped to help.  Rick shut door & locked it with car running.  They got tire fixed at 9 pm.  When guys realized our car was locked, Dick & Rick pulled window down enough so I could get my arm in and unlock door.    We ended up sleeping outside in sleeping bags.  The next morning a bucket of water was frozen
My husband Jim DiNieri was in the Marines with Dick and stayed in touch over the years. He realized it’s been a while since his last email. So sad to hear of his passing.  Sending prayers and thoughts for the family.  Jim & Andrea
