It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard “Jeff” Bing on October 27, 2025. Born on July 13, 1956 in Kenmore, NY, Jeff brightened the world with his thoughtfulness, forgiveness, and forward-looking spirit. His kindness and generosity knew no bounds, touching countless lives and leaving a legacy that will never fade. The Mesa will never be quite the same without him.Jeff is survived by his loving partner, Heather Sorrels; his devoted children: Jami Bing, James Bing, Christina Rice, Randal Bing, and Brandee Bing; and his many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchild, who were a great source of pride. In addition he is survived by his siblings Rochelle Wildfong, Karen Munshi, and Scott Bing. He is also survived by his beloved German Shepherds, Saber and Rocco, who never left his side. He is preceded in death by his brothers Randy and Brad and his parents Bill Bing and Diane Adams. Jeff lived a full and joyful life. Among his favorite pastimes were walking the dogs, exercising on the elliptical, and relaxing on the back porch with a cold Vodka & Diet Pepsi in hand. He loved to travel and frequently visited some of his favorite destinations—Las Vegas, New Orleans, and Baja, Mexico.His zest for life extended to the table, where he enjoyed fish, salads, and menudo. He treasured quiet moments reading Reader’s Digest or listening to the music of Jesse Howard, Kid Rock Radio, and others. A loyal fan of the L.A. Chargers, Las Vegas Raiders, and Buffalo Bills, Jeff could often be found cheering on his teams or tuning in to Gutfeld!An avid outdoorsman, Jeff found joy in camping, riding around on his tractor, and driving his Jeep along the beach. He loved visiting Efren’s Mexican Restaurant, Oceano Dunes, JJ’s, and Lake San Antonio. His favorite color was blue—an apt symbol of his calm, steady, and reassuring nature.Jeff was admired not only for his heart but for his leadership. He held numerous high-level positions throughout his career, guiding, developing, and overseeing solar installations in California and Nevada. His work ethic and commitment made a lasting impact on all who worked alongside him. He also shared simple bits of wisdom that reflected his humor and perspective—one of his most memorable sayings being, “If someone offers you money, take it!”In honor of Jeff’s life, contributions may be made to the American Liver Foundation (ALF) .
