Richard's obituary
Richard Andrew Hanlon, age 63 of Cape Girardeau passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at his home.
He was born October 21, 1956 in St. Charles, Illinois son of Michael Thomas and Marilyn Jane Andrews Hanlon.
Richard was a veteran of the United States Army having served enlisted on January 30, 1974, and honorably discharged July 25, 1977. After his honorable discharge, he returned home and worked as an over-the-road truck driver for many years. Since 1996 he had worked for JHS Trucking Company. His greatest joy was coming off the road and spending as much time as he could with his daughters and grandchildren.
Loving survivors include two daughters, Brandi (Jimmie Rogers) and Erica Lesley of Cape Girardeau; Eight grandchildren, Marcus and his wife Ashley, Jayla, Anthony, Cameron, Brayden, Mikah, MaKenzie, and Lukus; a great granddaughter, Amelia.
Also, surviving are two siblings Michael Hanlon and Debbie Biedermann.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Daniel Hanlon.
A private graveside service will be held at New Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau with full military honors.
