My 1st recollection of meeting Al was after he returned from the Univ of Notre Dame in Indiana. I was very impressed that he had been accepted to such a prestigious school.

We did hang out a bit because Al ended up pledging the same ASU fraternity (Delta Sigma Phi) that my brother Tom and I were in (& our dad had also been in). Al was an excellent fraternity brother & continued being involved and supportive for quite a few years after his college years.

One recollection that sticks with me is the evening I accompanied Al to audition for a school play at ASU. As I recall, it was "A Raisin In The Sun". What surprised & impressed me was when he was unexpectedly asked to sing "Feeling Good". Of course, I would have choked and run, but not Albert. He didn't blink, and delivered a very beautiful rendition. I was in awe..!
In response to "How did you first meet Al?"

My condolences to Al's family. I first met Al when at Brophy. We were boarders[ describe how you know each other. We have been very close friends ever since.  He was my oldest son's GodFather.  He was the best.  I loved him so and will miss him so much!

 God bless you Al

We are so sorry to hear of Al's passing and that we will be unable to attend the Celebration of Life.
He was the Art Teacher and I was the Agricultural Horse care/livestock teacher at Anderson Jr. High. I admired Al. He was great and a nice smile. We would also keep mgt - Principal and Vice Principal in line. Name Chief (Jims Rock) and Jim (Little Keebler ). The inmates were in charge of Jr. High. There was a small core that thought outside the box. Al was an active participate - partners in crime. We love it. Great laughs. It's like a comedy of a Jr. High malfunction ......lmao. Miss you Al.
