Rhonda Jo Allen passed peacefully on August 4, 2021. Born to Joseph and Judith Baughman in Galena, KS. After graduating, she joined the United States Navy and served on the U.S.S. Ajax where she met Charles, whom she started a family with. As a young woman she spent most of her life in Arizona being a full time mom while also working for the Phelps Dodge mining company in Safford, AZ. Eventually she and Charles divorced and she moved to Washington where she spent time bettering herself and developing a relationship with God. After she became disabled, Rhonda moved to Sierra Vista where she met James and the two quickly realized they were soul mates. They spent 5 wonderful years together, enjoying life and each other. She is survived by her husband James, her three children: Zachary, Kayla, and Ryan, her 9 sisters: Sherrie, Mary, Barbara, Alice, Ellen, Justine, Billie, Connie, and Karen along with 5 grandchildren, 8 nephews, 5 nieces, and 2 great nephews. There will be a family only ceremony in the following days, and anyone wishing to honor her is asked to donate to WoVeN Women Veterans Network. In accordance with her wishes, Rhonda will be cremated and some of her ashes will be spread at various locations that had memories with the remainder planted with a Living Urn Sycamore tree that can grow with her family for decades to come.
