I am so sorry to hear this, sending condolences to your family and my good friend Ada. Ronnie was so creative, I loved going over to Adas house and spending time there, even the house was full of artistic love.

I recall a day in Spring in 1985 on a walk with Rhona around downtown Halifax. We spotted a bird on the sidewalk outside a building. The bird didn't move. Rhona thought it was injured, so she picked it up in the palm of her hand. We continued walking, Rhona's arm outstretched, the bird happily sitting in her hand.It appeared not to be hurt but did not fly off.
Every now and again Rhona would test its flight by swooping it up into the air. It would not fly away. After about an hour of a walk with the bird, I suggested she give it one lastpush up into the air. With one long arm extended, Rhona heaved it skyward. It finally flew!
We were both so pleased. We concluded that the bird was either a successful hitchhiker who had tamed humans or that it liked Rhona so much it didn't want to leave. I thought it was magical. It was the only time in my life I went for a walk, with a small non skittery bird and my friend. It read like a children's book.

What a wonderful obituary, which has captured the spirit of Rhona! a beautifully written tribute.
I can already see her in the afterlife, hoola hooping with Dishes, who I met in Halifax and who charmed children out of their ice cream cones.
In addition to everything else, Rhona was a most wonderful friend who I was privileged to be able to get to know back in 1985 to present.
To her family who is missing her now, we are so sorry for the loss of your beloved Rhona/Ronnie. This includes of course all the felines and canines I regularly saw on video chat viewing with her.

My fondest memories of Ronnie...25 years ago, Ronnie's Art Camp at Fort Point Museum was world class. The kids never wanted to leave, and always looked forward to the going back. Ronnie was fun, loving and super creative. Special. RIP Ronnie until you are off on your next adventure.
