Reynaldo's obituary
Reynaldo "Bobby" De Asis, 95, of Oshawa, ON, Canada, passed away on May 12, 2023, after a stroke.
Reynaldo was born on October 29, 1027 to Antonio and Remedios De Asis in Sampaloc, Manila, Philippines. After graduating from San Beda in he went on to study Law at San Beda University. His first job was for the Philippine Ports Authority. In 1951, he met Amelia Gomez, and they wed in 1953, going on to have one child, Maria Luisa (De Asis) Sweet.
Reynaldo was also fondly called Bobby by all his family and close friends. A passionate motorcycle rider and could often be found riding up to Tagaytay or Antipolo when he wasn’t at home.
Anyone who knew Bobby knew that he was the most loving father and was very proud of his only child, Marissa. Bobby was the life of the party, he enjoyed golf, motorcycle riding, swimming, painting, music, and dance. Bobby was always active, walking after every meal up to his 80s. Bobby spoke three languages, Spanish, English, and Tagalog. Always willing to learn, he was always on the go!
Reynaldo was predeceased by siblings Abelardo and spouse Pacita Guevarra, Eloisa and spouse Mariano Lichaoco, Amelia and spouse Jose Zabarte, Olga and spouse Jose Feliciano, Antonino and spouse Francisca Teodoro, Leocadio and spouse Liliana de Leon, Augusto, Imelda and spouse Jose Pingoy Nakpil, and Josefina and spouse Prospero Rilloraza. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Yolanda Gutierrez, daughter, Marissa, and son-in-law Glenn Sweet, and many nephews and nieces, great nephews and great nieces.
