On Monday, October 3rd, 2022, Rex Long, a loving husband, father of three, and son, passed away at age 66. His passing came as a devastating shock, but was in the presence of family, safely at home. 

Rex was an alumni at Whites Ferry Road School of Biblical Studies. He served as a missionary in the Caribbean with his wife, Dede Long, before returning to the United States to continue to their roles in ministry in South Florida. During his final years, Rex continued to serve his community by volunteering his time at local food banks, and helping anyone who he met that was in need.

Rex loved the ocean, spending time with his friends and family, watching football and baseball with his dad, and frequenting his favorite breakfast spots with loved ones.  

Rex is survived by his wife Dede, daughter Taylor Gibbs, son Nathan Long, and son Aaron Long. He is, and will be, missed dearly. 

A small family memorial was held on Thursday, October 6th, 2022.
