Most of you know that Rex was a very good Wrestler and took 3rd in state. I was home on leave from the Army and had an opportunity to see Rex compete in a Wrestling meet in Tates Creek. My cousin, Glen Jones and I went to the meet. As we entered the gymnasium there was a Tates Creek wrestler standing there with a 3-4 young girls talking about how he was going to destroy the guy from Harrison County. I had no idea who he was and not sure of the weight class he was in? Well as fate would have it, he was to wrestle my little Brother,  Rex. Needless to say, I know you can guess the outcome.  Rex dominated the Tates Creek kid and pinned him. I was so proud of Rex. The Tates Creek kid was defeated and deflated from his loss to this guy from Harrison County.  I wanted to add insult to his injured ego but I did not. Rex was the " Real Deal " and had many great wrestling accomplishments. It sure makes me smile and it was a proud moment for his older Brother. I love and miss you Rex!

Rex once I was watching I was 15 living home . I had put him down for his nap in his playpen ! I heard him playing so walked into the room I had rolled my hair , he screamed so loud my mom came running , he was scared of my rollers ! Need to say rollers came out , he was fine ! He use to say I remember that ! He was one of the Best ! Beautiful daughter  , everyone loved Rex Know your mom and dad was waiting for you , till we meet again RIP Rex

This comes to my mind often. Rex’s was 16 at the time. He came to my apartment to take me to work, I  had to be there at 10, he was on the phone talking to his mom about quitting school we all know how that conversation went. He was pleading for her approval, he would catch me asleep and moved the time back. Needless to say I was late for work.

Prayers for comfort, healing and guidance. He was a great man. RIP
