We mourn the loss of Revonda "Ronnie" Scott, who passed away on August 19, 2025. She was born on June 1, 1937 to the late Vaughn and VeEmma Mehaffey. Revonda was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be deeply missed by her loved ones.

Revonda is survived by her daughter, Tracy Murphy Pennstrom (spouse Tom) and son, David Murphy (spouse Kelly). She was a beloved sister to Dale Mehaffey. Her spirit lives on in her grandchildren, Jacob Murphy, Zach Lanning, Kaitlin Kosciuszko, and great grandchildren, Chase Murphy, Ava Murphy, Narah Lanning, Hollis Kosciuszko, and Harris Kosciuszko who will dearly miss her.

In her lifetime, Revonda was a member of the West Asheville Baptist Church, where she nurtured her spiritual growth. Revonda had a zest for life and pursued various interests with enthusiasm. She was an avid golfer and tennis player and showed a passion for riding motorcycles.

A commemoration of Revonda's life will take place on October 4, 2025. The burial service will be held at Pisgah View Memorial Park at 11:00 am and officiated by Pastor Tony Hooper. Following will be a celebration of life at the Highland Brewing Company from 12:00pm - 4:00pm.

Revonda was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered for her steadfast spirit and loving nature.
