Steve was a good friend and colleague way back in the late 70s at DEC. So sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to the family.
OMG, as a member of St Mary's Road UMC, Columbus, GA, where Rev Jones pastored previously, this news came as quite a surprise to me, here in Belize! I am so sorry and sad to learn about Rev Jones passing.  I can remember his sense of humor and his very happy and humble demeanor. He always had encouraging words to share with everyone he met His sermons were always inspiring. Heaven gained an angel. Sending sincere condolences to his family. As his soul rose victoriously to glory; may his weary body of clay rest in peace for eternity.
Sending my deepest sympathy to you and your family.Rev. Jones will truly be missed. He was a true man of God.And love his chicken.

I'm sorry to hear the passing of Rev. Jones he was truly a man of God and was willing to help everyone in his present.  You will truly be missed. Sending my prayers healing and strength to the family.

From : The Evans Family

Our deepest sympathies and condolences to the Jones family and all who loved Rev Steve. My Mom, Mrs. Lawrence, was his next door neighbor and they shared the short road to their respective driveways. Steve was a kind neighbor who after our Dad passed in 2012, would frequently check in on Mom. If Mom had plumbing issues or any household problems, he’d try to fix it or had recommendations on who to call for help. I have many memories of Steve working in his yard or sitting in his driveway.. always taking time to come over to talk to make sure everything was alright. We will miss him. Take comfort in knowing he was a true servant leader who impacted those who knew him.
I will truly miss you as a wonderful and encouraging Facebook friend.  Your kind and encouraging words were always welcomed.   As past Associate Pastor of St. Mary's Road United Methodist Church, Columbus, Georgia, we had some wonderful conversations and trips to the driving range for ⛳.    My sincere condolences to your family.  May the Grace of our Lord be with you always!
Columbus, GA, USA

I worked with Steve at Digital Equipment Corp. He was a colleague and a friend. Rest well Reverend. Your contributions were many and you will be missed.

To the Jones family….I worked with Steve at IBM and we were teammates. Those were some of the most enjoyable time during my tenure at IBM. We stayed in touch after he left the company and the group of work friends would get together often as we could at Q-Time for lunch. I extend my sincere condolences to the family.   RIP my friend! You will be missed!

I drop by a few weeks ago to see my friend, colleague & client at the Tucker Rehabilitation Center. He and I exchanged pleasantries, talked about our family/friends; prior to having a Word of prayer, before I left out that night. I extend my deepest sympathy to the Jones family in the transition of our friend. I like to mention these four words that best describe his life; He cared for others!
