I will always remember Retha’s beautiful smile and exceptionally loving personality as we taught together at John I. Leonard High, as well as her dedication to educating her students. I will remember how she loved her family and how important they were to her! To say that she will be missed is an understatement! You all have our sincere prayers and condolences. Retha was the first teacher I got to know at JILHS when I started teaching there. I roved into her room twice that first year. She was so welcoming and caring and fun and loving. Often, at lunch, we would sit and discuss ideas for teaching math concepts easily….she clued me in on several great ideas! Oh, I know you all miss this amazingly beautiful lady. I certainly will.

I stopped by JIL just before school let out for summer. Retha happened to be in the main office. We gave each other a big hug! It was wonderful to see her and talk for a few minutes.
