My condolences to Renée's family. I first met Renée when she joined my SN PreK classroom at Hollydale. She was timid and cried in the beginning, but quickly learned that school was a lot of fun! She loved Circle Time, singing and dancing, Story Time and Art. The Housekeeping Area was also a place she loved to pretend. It was easy to make her giggle when I pretended to answer the telephone with a plastic banana! We did it every day and she giggled every time. How I loved her giggle! She was a bright light in our classroom with a heart of gold. I hope there is a plastic banana in Heaven…Renee will have all the angels giggling ❤️😇

Shannon and Ernie, my heart is broken! Renee was such a shining light in our Pre-K classroom! Always eager to learn, to participate, and to “try” even when she wasn’t comfortable ! Her beautiful curls are still my goal in life! You both know how much I loved your beautiful child! I will NEVER forget her excitement during music, story time, art and music! I kept up with her through her teachers when we were transferred to Texas with my husband’s job. She stole my heart, as did your family when we had our initial intake at Hollydale! I saw the love in your family, as your parents had your back! I knew this was a child who was loved, cared for, and had a chance to be everything she was meant to be! I did not have that feeling with all the little one’s we took into our class. I, personally, have lost 3 of my students! Each one was a child like Renee, full of life, excitement for school, and eager to please and participate! I wish I could have been a part of her life as she grew into adolescence! She will always have a piece of my heart and I pray she holds it tightly, because it will never let her go. My prayers to you, family, friends, and teachers who, I know, loved her as much as I did!

Praying for your family during this time of loss and sorrow. My hope is that your days of grief will soon become easier to bear, as you continue to put your trust and strength in God. In Jesus’ name.
