Renee's obituary
Renee Owens (Bueno), 41, of Applegate, CA died unexpectedly on May 25, 2023. Her loss was unexpected and leaves the family deeply saddened. Renee is survived by her husband, Aaron, and her daughter, Ava, in addition to her mother (Linda), father (Steve), her brothers (Benjamin and Jeremy), and the extended Bueno and Pasillas families.
Renee was born on March 01, 1982 to Steve and Linda Bueno in San Jose, CA. Renee graduated from Colfax High School and was not an avid student but she was involved in Chamber Choir owing to her love of music and singing. After graduating high school, Renee worked locally at the Flour Garden Bakery and Petals and Sweets in Auburn before starting her career as a Bank Teller for US Bank. In her 21 years with US Bank, Renee rose up the ranks and was recently working as a Market Operations Analyst throughout Northern California.
Anyone who knew Renee, knew that she was kind, loving, caring, warm, brilliant, awesome, wonderful, and so much more. She had an immense passion for family and family events were always a source of joy and laughter. Renee left the competitive spirit to her brothers but she loved any activities involving music and dancing. She had a wonderful voice that will be missed.
Renee was also a woman of faith and served locally with her family at the West Colfax Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, Renee had a faith that those asleep in death will be resurrected to enjoy restored paradise conditions here on Earth. This would be a return to God's original gift of perfect life bestowed on Adam and Eve. A return to life in a new world absent pain, suffering, or death:
“Your dead will live. My corpses will rise up. Awake and shout joyfully, You residents in the dust! For your dew is as the dew of the morning, And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life.” Isa 26:19
“He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Rev 21:4
“Truly I tell you today, you will be with me in Paradise.” Luke 23:43
It is in this resurrection hope Renee's family takes comfort, knowing that Renee is no longer with us in this world but that we will see her soon in the next. Until then we seek to honor her memory in a celebration of this beautiful soul who left us way too soon.
Family, friends, and colleagues of Renee are welcome to join us on Saturday June 10 for a Celebration of Life to be held at the Gold Country Fairgrounds - Lions Host Building beginning at 2pm.
