Rene was a great soul.  We fought many battles together playing basketball in Jr. High.  What great times I will always cherish with him. The last time we spoke, he drove a very long way to see me when I was stuck in a bodycast after a car accident.  I will always remember his kind heart and selflessness that I knew.

The first time I met him was when my mom and dad  did the vacation Bible school down at the church and they taught all the kids down there and after that we were in the same school marsing elementary and middle and then high school

I was [heartbroken] 💔 when I heard the news of Rene's passing. He has been someone very special to me my whole life, and I will miss him dearly, as will the whole community of his friends & family, and where he grew up. This World lost an incredible Guy. 😞 My sincere condolences to the Villarreal family, and his sweet Sister Amelia and her family. And to Rene... until we see you again someday, may God hold and keep you. 🙏
