Mr Rene was a substitute teacher for me back during 7th grade, with me being a rising 10th grader now. He was funny, interesting, and the most intelligent substitute teacher I will ever come across. He talked about his life during the past, adding how he starred in multiple movies. I asked him if he had any regrets during his life, and his response was that “No, I do not.” He explained to me how he had done lots of traveling throughout his life and had his fun. It saddens me to find out he has passed away. Thank you Mr Rene Rokk, for being the most interesting substitute teacher I will ever come across.
Ran across this beautiful birthday wish to my daughter. As a champion of Rene’s brilliant writing, I will forever hold this dear as well as the many memories I continue to cherish 💕
My condolences to Buzz. I first met Rene on a flight to Europe, where we discovered our love for the City of Angels and Filmmaking. So, we did what filmmakers do and made a Film in Potomoc. Craft Service was Cuban food and transportation was in a Viper as we had the greatest location on Embassy Row. We discovered that the greatest screenplay of all is real life, unedited, unscripted, raw with human emotion. Renee will never be forgotten, and his laughter will always resonate as a Mural of artwork painted and applied directly onto our Hearts.
