Renas Ashes were Interned 3/1…
2018, Chapel of the Chimes Hayward Funeral Home, Cemetery & Crematory, Mission Boulevard, Hayward, CA, USA
Renas Ashes were Interned 3/18. It takes a few months for the name plate to be added.
I remember one day in class this must of been 2004 . I was in 10th grade and all I wanted to do was fit in. The class was acting unruly that day and mrs.page did something she had never done before . She kept us after class . One by one students started walking out . I remember my friends at the door saying Jessie let's go. I was about to get up but the other half of me didn't . Mrs page gave me this look like " I know your not about to get up". I sat down and missed 10 min of my lunch . When she dismissed the class with the few people that were left the last one to leave the class . She stopped me at the door and told me something I'll never forget . She said " Jessie you weren't born to fit in ,you were born to stand out " . Now I'm 1 year away from getting my masters in social work from Cal state Dominguez hills. Thank you Mrs page . A piece of u lives in me now and I share the same wisdom to my at risk youth. Forever your HP baby JessieΒ
Barbara and David Shannon
2011, Dr. Maya Angelou Community High School, East 53rd Street, Los Angeles, CA, USA/Synergy Quantum Academy
I opened the high school in September 2011 and had all brand new science teachers. Rena said, Dr. Shannon, just send them to me when they have questions. You have enough to do. She introduced herselfΒ  and all of the teachers fell in love with her. Miss your smile Mrs. Page!! Thank you for being you.

We are praying for David and the whole family for losing their dear, precious Rena. We are so sorry for your loss as heaven receives an angel. Absent from the body but present with The Lord.
Rena was a much loved educator at Dr. Maya Angelou Community HS by her students and all who worked with her.
She was an enthusiastic, generous and knowledgeable Mentor for anyone needing technology assistance. I often marveled at her brilliant mind that went beyond technology. I'm grateful to have worked with her.
