Rena's obituary

Rena Annette Franklin went home to Jesus on October 18, 2021, at age 67. Rena was born to Joel B. Cock and Nancy Irene Cock on June 11, 1954, in Stuart, Virginia. Rena married her husband, Kenneth Franklin, in 1974 and went on to have one child, Crystal Barton. In addition to being a dedicated, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Rena also loved reading her Bible, walking, reading, and hanging out with her friends. Throughout her life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. Rena will join her father and mother, Joel & Irene Cock, in Heaven. She leaves her beloved husband of 47 years, Kenneth Franklin, her daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Timothy Barton of Hillsville, her sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Charles Hoover of Mount Airy and grandson Warren Derek Chappell Jr. of Hillsville.
